The Queen to visit St Ives?

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth is set to visit Cornwall on May 17th and many are speculating she will venture to beautiful St Ives for the first time.  Buckingham Palace will only confirm that the Queen is visiting on 17th but not that she is going to St Ives.  Rumours are speculating that she will visit the RNLI Lifeboat Station that houses the Lifeboat Princess Ann opened in 1990 and the Tate.

When the Queen travels to Cornwall she often comes on the Royal Train which would make for a lovely journey down the St Ives branch line.  I was only a boy when Princess Ann came in 1990 but the streets of St Ives were packed, and if Queen Elizabeth does come to the town on 17th May it will be standing room only!  I can’t believe this is her first visit – missing out madge!
