Porthminster Beach 3rd best in UK 8th in EU

The beautiful Porthminster Beach in St Ives, Cornwall has been voted as 3rd best beach in the United Kingdom and 8th best in the whole of Europe.  In a recent Trip Advisor poll this idealic beach nestled between St Ives town front and Carbis Bay has been acknowledged and rightfully so.  In all the years I have been going to St Ives this beach has been maintained to the highest standards and is popular amongst many beach dwellers.

The photograph attached to this article was taken of Porthminster Beach in St Ives by myself in August of 2012 and tells a thousand words.  Lovely clean sand, surf lapping the beach and families and locals enjoying the mid summer sun.  Beautiful.  The beach itself has a cafe, a shop, a putting green and more recently a bar and bbq area.  Not in the least the exquisite award winning Porthminster Cafe restaurant which is perfect for a coffee, glass of wine, lunch or a romantic meal.

Just beautiful and well deserved can’t wait to be back again soon.
