The Loft Restaurant St Ives

The Loft Restaurant St Ives is situated in the St Ives artists quarter and opened in July 2009.  It has a lovely menu filled with a variety of dishes to suit all tastes with all dishes made from locally sourced Cornish produce.  Inside the Loft Restaurant has a lovely look and feel, a bar running along the right hand side as you go in, tables lining the walls to the rear of the restaurant with some great views of St Ives and an outside roof terrace for the warmer months.

I ordered the mushroom soup to start with and my wife the Crab tambine.  Both came promptly and we polished them off nearly as quick, very tasty dishes and the crab, in particular, prepared with a good bit of passion. Delicious.

For main we ordered from the specials menu which to my delight was the Chateaubrian for 2 people.  It took a little while to cook as you would expect but we were kept informed by the waitress and when it came it was worth the wait.  Cooked to perfection.  It was served with triple cooked chips, a green leaf salad and being greedy we ordered some cream leeks with bacon. Yum!

All in all we had a lovely time at the The Loft Restaurant St Ives and we look forward to returning.  The service was good, the setting warm and cosy and the food was fantastic.  The Loft Restaurant St Ives is open for lunch as well as dinner and is a lovely spot for a gathering with friends or a romantic meal for two.  For resevations at The Loft Restaurant St Ives call 01736 794204.
